Our commitment to the highest standards of health and safety

JM Campbell Limited is committed to achieving the highest standards of health and safety throughout all its business activities. We recognize our legal and moral responsibilities to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our employees, customers, contractors, and any members of the public who may be affected by our operations.

Our statement of general policy is:

  • To provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities, which include the installation of solar PV, battery storage, and general electrical contracting.
  • To consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety.
  • To provide and maintain safe plant and equipment.
  • To ensure the safe handling and use of all substances.
  • To provide information, instruction, and supervision for all employees.
  • To ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to provide them with adequate training.
  • To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health.
  • To maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
  • To review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate to our business.

Legislation and Regulations

This policy is implemented in accordance with the requirements of the following legislation and regulations:

  • Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
  • Work at Height Regulations 2005
  • Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002
  • Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992
  • Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR)

The policy is further compliant with the standards set by the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), and the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC).
